Meet Lisa
Traveling Person has been planning trips since 2016 but it has been a dream for a lifetime.
Lisa Person created Traveling Person after her career in Spanish education took a step back. The love for planning travel became a passion as she created intricate itineraries for her high school Spanish students that she would lead across Spain, summer after summer. She partnered with KHM Travel Group to bring this dream to life and built what Traveling Person is today, a trusted travel agency located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with clients across the US.
I am a Certified Travel Associate (CTA), having earned my designation from The Travel Institute, the oldest and most respected non-profit certification organization in the travel industry. These credentials require that I have at least 18 months of travel industry work experience, completed rigorous certification and testing and continue to fulfill stringent education credit requirements each year. Much like an accountant, educator, medical professional with their respective credentials, my CTA designation means I am committed to upholding the highest standards of my profession while providing expert advice to my clients.
Traveling Person is a member of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), International Airlines Travel Agent Network (IATAN), Travel Leaders, and KHM Travel Group.
